Integración de Sistemas Legacy
iWay Software provides the industry's most comprehensive set of data adapters, providing you with the ability to create fast, efficient, reusable, and easily maintainable interfaces to your relational and non-relational data sources.
Through iWay's Universal Adapter Framework, you can use our data adapters to connect all your Java™, web, and .NET applications to your legacy mission-critical data. iWay data adapters leverage more than 15 years of creating innovative integration tools and adapter solutions, offer superior performance and scalability, and respect and preserve native-platform security environments.
iWay Adapters For OS/390 and z/OS
iWay uses an open programming interface to provide ODBC, OLE DB, JDBC, and a native API for accessing a homogenous view of heterogeneous data, converting ANSI SQL to the native Data Manipulation Language (DML) for relational sources, and providing ANSI SQL support for nonrelational data stores. iWay's DML achieves its superior data retrieval capabilities by using native database APIs and C or Java-based interfaces. Our software supports joins and two-phased commits between disparate data sources, including both relational and nonrelational data sources. For example, you can perform a join on tables from Adabas and IDMS. In addition to data access, iWay provides a complete set of tools for creating metadata from both relational and nonrelational data sources. iWay's enhanced metadata capabilities extend to include the ability to create virtual field definitions for any data source.
Key Features and Benefits
iWay Software provides a common web-based interface for managing data adapters, easing the creation and maintenance of your data interface. All server administration functions, including data adapter management, metadata creation, and scalability controls, such as clustering and dynamic load balancing, can now be accomplished from a single browser interface. This universal interface is the same on all of our supported platforms, including major flavors of UNIX, Windows, VMS, AS400, OS/390, and z/OS.
Meta Data Creation
iWay offers custom dialogs via our web-based interface for retrieving metadata. These dialogs are available for all of our data sources, including relational catalogs, COBOL FDs, Adabas, IMS, IDMS, Datacom, VSAM, MQ, etc.
iWay continues to be the industry standard when it comes to scalability and performance, with complete load-balancing and failover support, including integration with IBM's WLM (work load manager). With advanced features such as configurable number of data agents and deferred execution capability, iWay data adapters can be used to facilitate both a synchronous and asynchronous data-access model.
iWay not only supports native security interfaces, such as RACF, ACF/2, and Top Secret through traditional SAF calls, but also extends to incorporate security at the DBMS level and provides field-level access control.
Monitoring, Diagnostics, and Control
iWay's web-based console provides real-time statistics and a view into the server's performance. Along with a full set of diagnostic traces and a set of stress-test tools built directly into the server component, you may view vital statistics such as:
- Total number of connections
- View current connection
- Start and Stop data agents
- Average and current response time values
- I/O statistics per request
- CPU consumption
- Memory usage
Quick installation of the adapters is accomplished in less than an hour with a GUI front-end tool that guides you through the process. After installation, all administration is accomplished via the web-based console.
